Jaguars re-sign safety Dwight Lowery

Lowery celebrates an interception

The Jaguars re-signed safety Dwight Lowery to a four year deal, according to Tania Ganguli of the Florida-Union-Times.

She tweeted that his agent had conversations with other teams since free agency started.  Lowry himself also said on twitter, “looks like Lowery’s back” and tweeted this photo of himself posing in his Jaguars jersey

This is a great signing for the Jaguars, they have been working to get a deal done with Lowery since the end of the season, talks had stepped up during the scouting combine two weeks ago, but when Lowery officially became a free agent today it looked as if the Jaguars may have missed their opportunity to him bring back.

Lowery came to the Jaguars in a trade from the New York Jets last season, and was a staple of the Jaguars secondary.  Lowery finished the season with 36 tackles and 2 interceptions.
