Wednesday found the Jacksonville Jaguars doing some creative personnel moves, especially at the wide receiver position as the team placed WR Troy Williamson on the injured reserve list, effectively ending his season.
The team also announced the return of WR Nate Hughes; you may remember him from the two dropped passes against the Arizona Cardinals during [...]

The Jags have placed receiver Troy Williamson on the injured reserve on Monday, after he sustained a torn labrum in his right shoulder Sunday during the Jags’ loss to Arizona. Williamson’s absence means the Jags will promote Mike Sims-Walker to the No. 2 receiving spot.

The Jags will be without WR Troy Williamson for the showdown with the Bills Sunday, as he missed his third straight practice on Friday. Williamson has been slowed by a thigh injury. The WR core will enter Sunday a bit thin and banged up – Matt Jones (hamstring) and Dennis Northcutt (back) are [...]

The Jaguars 19-14 loss to Miami was worse than the final score would indicate. Jacksonville trailed 13-0 by halftime, when most of the starters were in the game. The Jaguars starters played so poorly, that may of them asked Jack Del Rio to play in the third quarter, but that wasn’t part of [...]

Saturday night, the Jaguars host the Dolphins in the second preseason game of the year. Here’s what I’ll be watching for:
Will Fred Taylor play? I’m not sure its all that important for Taylor to play at all in the preseason. After he didn’t play at all last week, the Jaguars Pro Bowl running back might [...]

During the Jaguars preseason opener, the depe passing game was just a rumor. The longest completed pass of the evening was a 22 yard David Garrard-to-Matt Jones hookup in the first quarter.
That could change this week as free agent signee Troy Williamson will get on the field for the first time in a Jaguars uniform.
Williamson [...]

I did find it interesting that he was clean shaven and appeared to have gotten a hair cut. Clearly, he’s trying to put his best foot forward.
Jones’ trial date is set for October 10, but I think its likely that the case will never go to trial. I’m expecting some kind of a plea bargain [...]

Finishing up on last week’s theme, here are three reasons why you’d better buckle up before hopping on the Jaguars bandwagon.
1) INJURIES: If this wasn’t already at the top of the list, it certainly emerged during the first week of camp. There was already a concern with the revamped wide receiver corps as Mike Walker [...]

The Jacksonville Jaguars begin training camp on Friday, 7/25, and Coach Jack Del Rio’s team seems primed for a big year (at least on paper). This may be the deepest Jaguars team top to bottom since the 1999 team that went 14-2 en route to the AFC Championship Game. Though the roster is strong, here [...]

From: Pro Football Weekly
New Jaguars WR Troy Williamson, whose inconsistent hands made him a bust in Minnesota, has impressed the coaching staff in Jacksonville. However, we hear there’s a lingering suspicion that he’s a “practice field hero,” and that the team is waiting until actual game action to feel comfortable with its new deep threat.
