The Jacksonville Jaguars Top 10 All-Time Draft Picks

The Jacksonville Jaguars came into the NFL in 1995, and have been an up and down organization despite being one of the teams in the league to not have made it to the Super Bowl in 25 years in the NFL.

The team in that time has had some very good (and also very bad) draft choices, and with the draft coming up this week, let’s take a look at some of the very best choices in terms of the draft in Jaguars history.

10. James Stewart RB 1995

Stewart was a solid back in the Jags system early on, and in his time with the team ran for 48 touchdowns and over 5000 yards.

9. Tony Brackens DE 1996

Brackens was a solid defensive end for the franchise, and with the 33rd overall pick he was a steal. In his time with the Jags he put up 55 sacks, not back for a second-round pick that many felt wouldn’t make it at the end spot.

8. Marcus Stroud DT 2001

Stroud was the teams first-round pick in 2001 and in his nine seasons with the team put up 29.5 sacks in 146 games. He at times had moments where he would take over games from the tackle spot, earning a spot on this list.

7. Zach Miller TE 2009

Miller was a 6th round pick in the 2009 draft, and played in 66 games for the Jaguars in his time with the franchise. He pulled in 15 scores and put up 1631 yards in his time with the Jaguars.

6. Daryl Smith LB 2004

Smith played for 12 seasons with the Jaguars all the way from 2004 to 2016, and he pulled in 12 interceptions and had 30.5 sacks in his time with the franchise.

5. Byron Leftwich 2003

Leftwich was a solid QB for the nine seasons he spent with the Jags, throwing for 58 touchdowns in 60 career games. He showed toughness never afraid to take off with the football as well.

4. Allen Robinson 2014

This wide out was a solid pick for the Jags and lasted five seasons with Jacksonville. During that time he caught 33 touchdowns and 4749 yards worth of passes.

3. Maurice Jones-Drew 2006

For eight seasons Jones-Drew was a bowling ball, and in his rookie year had 941 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. In his career he put up 5,386 yards from scrimmage and 34 total touchdowns.

2. Fred Taylor 1998

The best offensive player in the teams history, Taylor surpassed 1,000 rushing yards seven times in 11 years in Jacksonville and his 11,271 rushing yards is over 3,000 more than anyone else in franchise history.

1. Tony Boselli 1995

It’s not often the first pick in the history of the team is also the best, but Boselli is in that position. The Jaguars went offensive line first, and it paid off as he spent six dominant seasons with the team. The tackle was selected to three-straight first-team All-Pro teams.
