It sounds like the Blake Bortles era in Jacksonville might be coming to an end, as today it was announced that for the important preseason game three Bortles will be sat for backup Chad Henne.
Chad Henne is getting his shot to supplant Blake Bortles as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ starting quarterback.
The veteran quarterback will open the game with the first-team offense on Thursday against the Carolina Panthers, the team announced Wednesday.
The move comes just six days after Jaguars coach Doug Marrone opened the competition by saying the starting role was “up there for grabs” between Henne and Bortles.
