Jaguars Ink Center Brandon Linder to Five-Year Deal Worth $51.7 Million

USA Today Sports

On the eve of veterans reporting to training camp, the Jaguars signed 25-year old center Brandon Linder on a five-year contract extension worth Tuesday, Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports. NFL Network reported the deal with $51.7 million.

Linder, a third-round pick in 2014, is the first draft selection made by general manager Dave Caldwell to agree to a second contract.

“It was something we wanted to get done so now we can just play ball,” Linder said on a conference call. “I’m at a loss for words. The steps that brought me here, starting in little league football, I was just reflecting on them.”
