Jaguars Select LSU Running Back Leonard Fournette with 4th Overall Pick in Draft

The Jaguars have some help now for their offense, as Thursday night in the 2017 NFL Draft the team took LSU dynamic running back Leonard Fournette.

CBS has a quick look at the pick, which Pete Pricsco gave a ‘D’ to for some reason, even though he’s the best running back in the this years NFL Draft class.

The Jaguars already have T.J. Yeldon and Chris Ivory, but Fournette could really take the pressure off Blake Bortles and could step in and produce big numbers early. People will suggest that Fournette was drafted high because of the success the Dallas Cowboys had with Ezekiel Elliott, but make no mistake: Fournette has been an NFL-worthy prospect since he was a teenager, and his 2015 season was absolutely sublime, with Fournette gashing defenses for 1,953 yards on 6.5 yards per carry. He “only” rushed for 843 yards in 2016 but still averaged 6.5 yards per carry. He is a monster in a power rushing attack.

Here’s highlights of the Jaguars newest back:
