Quarterback Blaine Gabbert will be out this Sunday when the Jacksonville Jaguars visit the Denver Broncos.
Gabbert, who injured his left hamstring in yesterday’s loss to the St. Louis Rams, could be out for multiple weeks. For the time being, Chad Henne will be the starting quarterback for the Jaguars.
While neither quarterback has yet to win a game this season, Henne appears to be more confident with the ball and is more likely to make things happen. He is more decisive than Gabbert, and is willing to take chances. The Jaguars seemingly have no chance to beat the Broncos on the road, but the Denver defense is struggling, and that should allow the Jaguars offense the opportunity to make big plays.
Head coach Gus Bradley stated that Gabbert would be inserted back into the starting lineup once he is healthy to play. However, if Henne plays well and injects some life into the offense, it will be interesting to see if coach Bradley has a change of mind.
