The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost left guard Mike Brewster, as the club placed him on injured reserve Wednesday due to a broken left hand he sustained Dec. 2 at Buffalo.
Brewster started seven games, including six in a row after taking over the position from veteran Eben Britton. They were gambling on him, as they inked him as an undrafted free agent from Ohio State.
Brewster was called for three penalties this year, including a chop-block call against the Colts the league later told the Jaguars was the incorrect call.
Running back Keith Toston will take Brewster’s roster spot. Toston was waived before Week 1, re-signed Oct. 23 and waived Oct. 30.
