Jaguars Take Texans to the Limit; Fall in OT 43-37

Almost. The Jaguars played their heart out Sunday, but a late incomplete pass in OT, and a defensive letdown with Andre Johnson racing down the sideline for the game winning score saw the Texans outlast the Jags 43-37 Sunday.

The loss puts the Jags at 1-9 on the season, and some heat will for sure go on coach Mike Mularkey, who decided on 4th and 10 to go for it with just over 2 minutes left in OT and the ball on the Texans 47.

The pass was incomplete, and two plays later, Matt Schaub threw a screen to Johnson, who broke a tackle and went the final about 45 yards for the score that ended the OT game.

Chad Henne, injured Blaine Gabbert, threw for 354 yards on 16-for-33 passing. He also threw four touchdowns in the heartbreaking loss.

Rookie WR Justin Blackmon had 7 grabs for 236 yards with a touchdown in the loss.

Schaub threw a career-high five touchdown passes, completed a franchise-record 43 passes and finished with 527 yards passing, second most in NFL history. Warren Moon also threw for 527 yards for the Houston Oilers in December 1990 against Kansas City.

Norm Van Brocklin holds the record with 554 for the Rams in 1951.

Johnson caught 14 passes for 273 yards, both career highs. The Texans (9-1) won an overtime game for the first time at Reliant Stadium.
