Two years ago the Jags felt they had a cornerstone WR of the future in Mike Thomas.
Today, they moved him without barley a blip on the radar.
The Jags today sent Thomas to the Lions. What the Lions are giving the Jags in return for Thomas’ services is up in the air at the moment.
The 5-foot-8, 198-pound Thomas had a career year for the Jaguars in 2010, catching 66 passes for 820 yards and four touchdowns.
His production slid in 2011 with rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert at the helm. Thomas has only caught 12 passes this season for 80 yards.
Oddly enough, the Lions and Jags play Sunday in Florida.
