Maurice Jones-Drew will not play vs. Packers

Maurice Jones-Drew will be out for at least this coming Sunday’s game when the Jacksonville Jaguars visit the Green Bay Packers.

Jones-Drew injured  his left foot in the second play of the game against the Oakland Raiders. The severity of the injury is still unclear.

This will make this week’s game against the Packers much tougher than it needs to be. It remains to be seen if QB Blaine Gabbert will miss time. QB Chad Henne did not play well at all against the Raiders when he came in to replace Gabbert, who left with an injured left shoulder.

The Packers, 3rd in the NFC North, are currently 4-3. They rank 17th in both passing and run defense.
