Jaguars Release Kampman

Kampman in action for the Jaguars

The Jaguars released veteran defensive end Aaron Kampman on Thursday.

Kampman, 32, was a two time Pro Bowl selection during his 8 year tenure with the Green Bay Packers. He has played in 123  games with 58 career sacks. Kampman joined the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent in 2010 and has battled injuries ever since.

After leaving the Packers  following an ACL injury in 2009 Kampman signed with the Jaguars and played in the firt eight games of the 2010 season before tearing the ACL in his opposite knee.

Kampman played in only three games for the Jaguars last season before suffering a season ending hamstring injury.

Signing Kampman initially was a risk but you can’t predict injuries. Hopefully he can make an attempt to come back with another team, although, I feel this may be the end of the line for Aaron Kampman.
