Knighton Out Three Months

Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, who was injured in the melee of a brawl recently, will be out for around three months while he recovers from the injuries his suffered, according to sources.

Knighton was attempting to stop a fight at Pure Nightclub on Sunday April 8th when he was hit in the face with a bottle of vodka, which caused substantial damage to his eye, requiring surgery.

“He is at home trying to heal,” Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey said. “The healing process is going to take a while . … There’s a big concern for his health from this team and his family. The healing process has to answer all of those questions. It’s too early right now to give you an answer.”

Knighton will most the majority of the off-season work-outs and while the exact time table for his return is unknown, it is hopeful that he will return in time for the 2012 season in September.
