The Jaguars have agreed to a one year deal with veteran wide receiver Lee Evans, according to sources.
Evans who visited with the Jaguars last month, amidst the Tim Tebow drama, is expected to be in Jacksonville on Monday to sign his contract.
Evans spent his first seven seasons with the Buffalo Bills, where he has two 1,000 yard seasons. In 2011 he played sparingly for the Baltimore Ravens.
Evans is 31 years old and whilst this move will not excite Jaguars fans it does add a veteran presence to a young and inexperienced receiving group. Evans is the second receiver added in the 2012 free agency as the Jaguars also signed Laurent Robinson from Dallas in March.
why wont jaguar fans be excited? If the Jags can get Justin Blackmon or Michael Flyod in the upcoming draft the Receving core will be quite polished in Jacksonville… finally.
