Jaguars sign quarterback Chad Henne to two year deal

Henne looks to pass for the Dolphins

The Jaguars reached an agreement with quarterback Chad Henne, according to Tania Ganguli of the Florida-Union-Times.

Henne is coming off a season ending shoulder injury in 2011 that essentially lost him his starting position with the Miami Dolphins. He is in his fifth year in the league after being drafted by the Miami Dolphin  in the second round of the 2008 draft from Michigan.

Henne will come into Jacksonville as the back-up quarterback to 2nd year starter Blaine Gabbert.

He also had interest from Seattle, and was due to visit them after he had completed his visit with the Jaguars.

In his NFL career Henne has passed for 7,114 yards and 31  touchdowns with a 75.7 quarterback rating in his four years with the Miami Dolphins. His best season as a starter was in 2010, when he passed for 3,301 yards and 15 touchdowns in 14 starts.

In the midst of the Jaguars two big signings today the Jaguars also re-signed defensive tackle C.J Mosley. The Jaguars had been working on re-signing Mosley for several weeks and it appears they have agreed to a 3 year $7.5 million contract which includes $2 million guaranteed.
