Jaguars re-sign punter Nick Harris, linebacker Russell Allen

The Jaguars re-signed punter Nick Harris and agreed to deal in principle with linebacker Russell Allen.

Harris signed with the Jaguars in October 2011, after the team released Matt Turk. He had an average of 42.7 yards  on 72 punts with 13  downed inside the 20 yard line.

Allen, who joined the Jaguars in 2009 as an un-drafted free agent, was a restricted free agent. He has agreed in principle to a 3 year deal, according to the Florida-Times-Union. The Jaguars had been working on getting a deal done with Allen for some time, and had placed a second round tender on Allen prior to completing the deal.

Allen, a back-up, played in all 16 games last year, starting 6. He had 25 tackles, 1 interception and 2 forced fumbles.
