Jags Claim OT Will Robinson Off Waivers from the Saints

The Jaguars have claimed offensive tackle Will Robinson off waivers from the Saints, a league source confirmed on Thursday.

Originally signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State in 2008, Robinson spent his rookie season on injured reserve before spending most of the 2009 and 2010 seasons on the Washington Redskins practice squad, appearing in his one NFL regular season game in 2009.

Robinson was signed off the Redskins’ practice squad by the Seahawks last November, but did not appear in a game and was waived by Seattle in September. Robinson had been on the Saints’ practice squad since the start of the season and was activated in Week 11, but did not appear in a game before he was waived on Wednesday when the Saints re-signed tight end Tory Humphrey.

Robinson is signed through the end of this season, but is not eligible for unrestricted free agency in the offseason.

To make room for Robinson, the Jaguars waived cornerback Robert McClain.
