Jags Make Roster Moves; Claim WR Taylor Price

The Jaguars announced a series of roster moves, including the confirmation that they have claimed wide receiver Taylor Price off waivers from the Pats.

A 2010 third-round pick out of Ohio University, Price has three receptions for 41 yards in two games over his first two seasons in the NFL. Price is signed through the 2013 season at league minimum base salaries.

In addition to adding Price, the Jaguars have promoted safety Akwasi Owusu-Ansah from the practice squad to the active roster. To make room for Price and Owusu-Ansah, the Jaguars have waived tight end Fendi Onobun and placed first-year defensive end John Chick.

Chick suffered a serious right knee injury during Monday night’s 38-14 loss to the San Diego Chargers.

Jacksonville has also signed linebacker Kevin Malast to the practice squad.
