Jaguars claim WR Robiskie; place Sims-Walker on IR

The Jaguars announced that they have claimed wide receiver Brian Robiskie off waivers from the Browns.

Selected with the 36th overall pick of the 2009 NFL draft, Robiskie started 14 of his 31 games with the Browns, totaling 39 receptions for 441 yards and three touchdowns.

Robiskie is signed through the 2012 season, with $277,941 in base salary for the remaining nine weeks of the season and a base salary of $615,000 next season, with up to $185,000 in base salary escalation available in 2012.

To make room for Robiskie, the Jaguars placed wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Nice flier to take. He didn’t have anyone to throw him the ball in Cleveland. If he doesn’t work out, he’s gone after the year. Good move, Jags.
