Jaguars Sign DE John Chick To The Active Roster

The Jaguars signed defensive end John Chick to the active roster from the practice squad, taking quarterback David Garrard’s old spot. Chick, 6-3, 248, spent the 2010 season on the Colts’ practice squad and was waived on Sept. 3, 2011.

The 28-year old played three seasons (2007-09) in the Canadian Football League for the Saskatchewan RoughRiders where he totaled 68 tackles, 19 sacks, six forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. A native of Gillette, Wyoming, Chick was a four-year starter at Utah State where he finished his career with 39.5 tackles for loss and 23.5 sacks
