Report States Jaguars Have Released OG Justin Smiley

According to Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union the Jaguars have released offensive guard Justin Smiley. It was just last offseason that the Jags traded a conditional 7th round pick to the Dolphins for Smiley.

The guard has been injured quite a bit in his career and missed practices, but started the year as the Jaguars starting left guard. He was replaced by veteran guard Vince Manuwai against the Bills and was relegated to back up duty, a role he played for the remainder of the season.

He was due about $2 million in salary this year.

Our family will no longer support the Jaguars…We only cared about Justin Smiley…such a great player with such heart…They were wrong to cut him!
