Top Ten All-Time Jaguars: #7 Donovin Darius

Keeping with the hard hitting defensive theme of the last selection of the top ten I give you the next selection of the top ten all-time Jaguars. This selection comes to us from Syracuse University and hails from Camden New Jersey. This man will be forever remembered as a hard hitting safety, and some called him dirty after he clothe lined a receiver in a game a few years back. Sitting at number 7 on the list of all-time Jaguar greats:

7. Donovin Darius Safety

Stats: Played 9 seasons with the Jaguars and played in 115 games with the Jaguars starting in every game in which he played for the team.

Darius is the all-time leading tackler in Jaguars history coming in with a total of 858 career tackles. Donovin also has 7 career forced fumbles and 14 career interceptions and he ranks third on the Jags all-time list with 189 career interception return yards.

Darius was a first round selection in 1998 out of Syracuse. While he was never selected to a pro bowl or an All NFL team he is considered one of the hardest hitting safeties while he played the game. Donovin was always around the ball and always making tackles and of course producing turnovers.

Donovin’s spot on this list was well secured with a very productive career. Darius will remain a defensive staple for years to come with the team. The next selection for the team’s all-time list may not surprise you. While he isn’t very big he is big on excitement and looks to run his way to the top of this list as the years go by.
