Jaguars Don’t Appear to Be Taking Ticket Holders for Granted

With all the talk about sagging ticket sales for the Jags, Gene Frenette has an interesting view of the situation in his blog over at the Florida Times-Union.

My view is that whatever people decide about purchasing Jaguars season tickets is a personal choice, not a duty or obligation. But it’s still pretty extraordinary the lengths the NFL franchise is willing to go to attract customers.

Watching video of offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter giving fans a glimpse into play-calling at an “Evening With the Coaches” event this week, and throwing in self-deprecating humor, was pretty entertaining. Owner Wayne Weaver, coach Jack Del Rio and several assistants have made appearances to be part of sales pitches to the fans.
