Jags QB Coach Todd Monken Leaves Team for Oklahoma State

The Jags have lost a QB coach – again.

The Jaguars lost a quarterbacks coach for the second time this offseason.

Todd Monken left the franchise to take a position as offensive coordinator for Oklahoma State. Monken coached the Jaguars’ receivers for the past four seasons and was promoted to quarterbacks coach last month, when Mike Shula took a similar job with the Carolina Panthers.

Although the Jaguars promoted from within when Shula left, they will look outside the organization this time and are expected to offer that person a one-year deal. Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver opted not to roll over the assistant coaches on contracts after last season, and Monken was among those with just one year left.
