National Football Post reports that the Jags today were awarded former 49ers wide receiver Jason Hill off waivers. The Jags cut cornerback Chevis Jackson to make room for Hill on the roster.

Hill is in his fourth season after being selected by San Francisco in the third round of the 2007 NFL draft, the 76th pick overall. He played in 32 games with two starts for the 49ers including two games this season. His career totals include 40 receptions for 413 yards and four touchdowns along with 29 special teams tackles.

In 2009, Hill played in 11 games and finished with nine receptions for 90 yards and two touchdowns. A native of San Francisco, Hill was a three-year starter at Washington State and set school records for career receiving yards (2,704) and touchdown receptions (32).
