QB Patrick Ramsey inked by the Jags, Bouman deal isn’t official

While the team continues to wrap up a deal with Todd Bouman, the team today announced the signing of free agent quarterback Patrick Ramsey. To make room for Ramsey, safety Gerald Alexander has been waived.

A first-round pick out of Tulane by the Redskins in 2002, Ramsey has completed 56% of his 913 pass attempts for 5,930 yards, with 35 touchdowns and 30 interceptions for a career passer rating of 74.9. Ramsey has had stints with the Jets, Broncos, Titans, andLions, and went to training camp this season with the New Orleans Saints. He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2008 season.

The team will likely still wrap up a deal with Bouman by the end of the day.
