Jags Place CB Scotty McGee On IR, Sign LB Jason Cutrera

The Jaguars announced that sixth-round cornerback Scotty McGee has been placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. Chosen with the 203rd overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft out of James Madison, McGee had 402 kick and punt return yards for the Jaguars during the pre-season, including 9.9 yards as the team’s primary punt returner, which earned him a spot on the team’s 53-man roster.

McGee’s shoulder injury kept him out of both of the team’s games this season. During his four-year career at James Madison, McGee averaged 30.5 yards on 71 kick returns, bringing three back for touchdowns (99, 100, 99). To fill McGee’s spot on the 53-man roster, linebacker Jacob Cutrera has been re-signed.
