Jason La Canfora reports via Twitter that free agent safety Darren Sharper’s visit with the Jaguars did not produce a contract. The Jaguars are in need of a safety, after not selecting one in this years draft. Sharper, who intercepted nine passes last season, turns 35 in November and he underwent knee surgery this offseason.

The National Football Post reports that the Jags have invited former Lions LB Teddy Lehman to a tryout along with others:

The Jags made a move over the weekend to grab former Raiders LB Kirk Morrison, and he says to the National Football Post that he’s ready for a new start with a new team:
