Entertainment for Sunday’s Game vs the Packers

The Jacksonville Jaguars are excited to bring back American Idol contestant and Lyric Street Recording Artist, Phil Stacey, to perform the National Anthem at Sunday’s game. Phil performed the Anthem and a beautiful rendition of “God Bless the USA” during the 2007 Veteran’s Day Tribute Game. Since then, Phil released his self-titled debut album earlier this year and has been on tour promoting the album.

National Anthem
The Colors will be presented by the United States Coast Guard and the Flag is being held by the Jacksonville Jaguars Booster Club. On hand to interpret the Star Spangled Banner for the hearing impaired are students from the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind.

Following the National Anthem, the flyover will be conducted by the United States Coast Guard, flying three HH-65 Dolphins from Helicopter Interdiction Tactical Squadron based in Jacksonville.

For Sunday’s halftime entertainment, the Army Golden Knights demonstration team will jump into Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. In 1959, 13 men joined together to form the Strategic Army Corps Sport Parachute Team, to compete in the then communist dominated sport of skydiving. The team performed so well that on June 1, 1961 the Army officially recognized, designated and activated the team as the U.S. Army Parachute Team. For more than 44 years the “Golden Knights” have been wowing audiences at air shows, competitions and most recently, with high profile tandems. The two demonstration teams travel all over the country performing aerial demonstrations at air shows and special events in support of Army recruiting goals.
