Jags Won’t Raise Ticket Prices in 09

From: ProFootballTalk.com

A day after the Chargers announced they wouldn’t jack up ticket prices for 2009, another of the AFC’s most disappointing teams did the same thing. The Jaguars team site has a release that says there won’t be any increase in season ticket prices for the general bowl or multi-year premium seats.

“Our team is fully aware of the economic challenges that our fans are facing, and maintaining our current pricing structure is the appropriate thing to do,” said Jaguars Senior Vice President/ Business Development Tim Connolly. “The Jaguars are generally recognized for having one of the NFL’s lowest average ticket prices, and we understand how important that is to many of our fans.”

Connolly and the rest of the Jaguar brass is undoubtedly also fully aware of how poorly their team has performed this season. Jack Del Rio’s bunch has underwhelmed following a strong 2007 season and the coach’s recent comments about starting quarterback David Garrard can’t fill Jaguar fans with great excitement about the near future.
