Jaguars Looking at Naeole

The Jaguars offensive line may be getting a little shot in the arm.
Tuesday night on The Jack Del Rio here WOKV Radio, the head coach said that the Jaguars had worked out former Jaguars starting guard Chris Naeole, and that they might sign him.

Naeole started for the Jaguars from 2002 until last year, until he tore his quadriceps tendon in mid-season. The Jaguars let Naeole go in March.

“We’ve been monitoring that situation and he’s gotten himself back to where he’s just about ready to get back to action,” Del Rio said. “Hopefully we can get something worked out where he can join the Jaguars in the near future.”

Del Rio also updated Jerry Porter’s status, hinting that the wide receiver, who has been sidelined following hamstring surgery, could be on the field Sunday in Indianapolis.

“If we think that he’ll give us an opportunity to be more productive and to do the things that we brought him here to do, we’ll play him,” Del Rio said. “Right now, we’re trying to be patient and do the right thing. We don’t want to bring him back prematurely.”

Porter could help a Jaguars receiving corps that has produced only two plays of over 20 yards through two games this year.
