Jags Re-Sign Williams
Posted by Stephen Rhodes on March 6th, 2008 filed in News3 days after releasing starting guard Chris Naole, the Jacksonville Jaguars have apparently found his replacement as they re-signed Maurice Williams; a second-round pick in 2001, Williams has spent his entire career with the Jaguars. For 6 seasons, he was the starting right tackle, but was demoted to a reserve role after Jacksonville signed free agent Tony Pashos. Williams has started 95 games for the Jaguars, including 10 last season; he more than likely will compete for a starting job at guard with reserve Dennis Norman and second-year player Uche Nwaneri.
