Williams

The Jaguars have named Gregg Williams the team’s next defensive coordinator.  The move comes just weeks after Williams was being considered as the favorite to replace Joe Gibbs as Redskins head coach.  He was interviewed several times in January for the head coaching position, but owner Daniel Snyder fired Williams on January 26th.  Williams has spent the last four seasons as assistant head coach/defensive coordinator for the ‘Skins.  The 49-year-old replaces Mike Smith, who left Jacksonville to take over as head coach of the Atlanta Falcons.
