Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David GarrardJacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh ScobeeThe Jacksonville Jaguars may have timing on their side as quarterback David Garrard and kicker Josh Scobee may both be ready and available against the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.  Of course, there’s that outside possibility that team head coach Jack Del Rio may make a “gametime decision” on Garrard and Scobee.

Garrard said that he could’ve played last week against Tennessee but figured it was better to be cautious and allow his injury an additional week to heal.  Scobee, while not 100%, said that he’s “very optimistic” that he will play agaisnt San Diego.  Assuming Scobee returns, they have kicking options.  Their current starting kicker, John Carney, is not known for his leg as his longest field goal to date is only 41 yards.  Scobee gives the team the flexibility to attempt longer FG attempts and hopefully cut down on going for it on fourth-down.
