Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard Depending on how his ankle responds and how his practice sessions go this week, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard hopes to take snaps behind center when the Jags host the San Diego Chargers next Sunday.  Team doctors recommended that Garrard sit out last Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans to allow the high snkle sprain he has to rest.

According to Garrard, as he told the Associated Press, “Everything’s feeling good.  We’re going to have to once again get out and practice and make sure we continue down the right path and make sure we don’t have any setbacks.”  Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio, however, is more cautious, stating, “We’ll see how practice goes.  He did OK last week. He wasn’t quite ready. We anticipate he’ll be better this week and we’ll take a look on Wednesday and see how it goes.”
