Jags Waive Smolko; Re-Sign Owens

The Jaguars made a minor roster move Thrusday, waiving tight end Isaac Smolko and re-signing receiver Chad Owens to the practice squad. Smolko was signed off the practice squad last week and played at New Orleans. Jacksonville probably will re-sign Smolko if he clears waivers. Owens was in training camp with Tampa Bay before being waived in August. He was originally a sixth-round draft pick by the Jaguars in 2005.
