Owner Weaver Speaks Out On Team Troubles

Weaver said in the statement,” I am disgusted with the irresponsible behavior some of our players have demonstrated. They are embarrassing themselves, our organization, and their peers.” the owner refers to the weekend arrest of two players. Linebacker Richard Collier was arrested for driving under the influence and offensive tackle Justin Durant was charged with resisting arrest Saturday morning. Weaver went on to say,” These players will face significant discipline and that discipline will be more severe for repeat violators. Players are and will be subject to fines, loss of game checks and not playing in our games.” The team is also facing the possible suspension of Marcus Stroud for violating the leagues steroid abuse and related substances policy.
