Garrard to Miss Sunday’s Game vs Bucs with Ankle Sprain
Posted by Matt Loede on October 24th, 2007 filed in NewsNot only did the Jaguars get thoroughly overwhelmed by the Champion Colts on Monday night at home, it also appears they lost their starting QB for a few weeks. Tuesday starting QB David Garrard had a MRI done on his ankle, which was hurt in the game. His left ankle was injured following a second-quarter sack by the Colts Ed Johnson. He came back in after having the ankle taped, but then left the game after the half due to increased swelling. Coach Jack Del Rio said that it looks as if Garrard will miss at least one game, that being this weekend at Tampa Bay. Quinn Gray, who was not very good Monday night, will get the start for the Jags Sunday. Gray was just 9-for-24 with two picks on Monday night. Garrard’s status will be updated today according to Del Rio.
