WR Jones Ready to be Moved Elsewhere?

Jags wide out Matt Jones is in Jack Del Rio’s doghouse, and with it might come a move to get Jones out of Jacksonville and onto another roster.  Jones was not even in uniform Sunday in the Jags 23-14 win at Denver.  He was listed as the number three quarterback, but wore a sweat suit on the sidelines.  Agent Alan Herman stated that teams around the league are asking about Jones, after Del Rio spoke out about the reciever last Monday, saying he was not comfortable with the lazy body language that Jones was showing in games.

Jones was listed on the injury report as probable with a heel injury, but even if he was 100 percent, there was not for sure that he would have played yesterday vs Denver.  When asked postgame about Jones, Del Rio said “He didn’t play today, obviously, we’ll see as we move forward.  As a coach, I have to make decisions for the football team.  It’s not about any one guy.”

Herman stated that if Jones remains inactive, he will talk to James Harris, the teams VP of player personnel, and seek permission for a trade.  Last season Jones pulled in a career high 41 passes for 643 yards and four TD’s.  In 2007 he has three catches for 37 yards.  He was the teams first round pick in 2005, but has not lived up to the billing as of yet.
