RB Pearman Traded to Seahawks, Leftwich Released by Jags

Alreday stacked at the RB spot, the Jaguars on Saturday traded running back Alvin Pearman to Seattle for an undisclosed draft choice. The team also announced those that were released, including the cut of long-time QB Byron Leftwich. Now the QB will be free to sign where he pleases, and there is sure to be a few teams in the mix to acquire his services.  The team also let go safety Josh Gattis their fifth-round pick this year.  First-year players DT Joe Anoai, LB Kevis Coley, DL Walter Curry, OT Ryan Gibbons, DE Tyler King, DB Jamar Landrom, LB Roy Manning, G Pete McMahon, CB Rashod Moulton and TE Isaac Smolko were also cut.  Among the veterans cut today: G Dan Connolly, S Jamaal Fudge, LB Nick Greisen, DT Seth Payne, WR Charles Sharon, CB Bruce Thornton and CB Dee Webb. DE James Wyche (groin) and WR Mike Walker (knee) were placed on injured reserve.
