LB Claiborne Sent Packing, Manning Signed

The Chris Claiborne era in Jacksonville with the Jags is over, some 48 hours after it began. The former number one draft choice was let go by the Jags on Tuesday, as he reported to camp out of shape. The 29-year-old linebacker was signed just two day ago, but instead of having any sort of impact, was given his walking papers. He had not played since he was let go by the Giants back last December. The team will go with 25-year-old Roy Manning. The former Michigan LB played in 15 games with the Packers back in 2005, and was with Buffalo until he was let go on Monday.
