The Jaguars have asked and tackle Maurice Williams has agreed to take a $1.5 million dollar pay cut. Williams was the teams starting right tackle before losing his job last March. His salary cut went from him making $3.5 million down to $2 million. “As long as I’m playing football, the business side of this is out of my head,” Williams said Wednesday. Williams becomes a free agent at the end of the season, and after being a starter he may look to move elsewhere. Right now though, that is not the first thing on his mind. “There are a lot tougher situations I could be in,” Williams said. “I still like the Jaguars and think this is a really good team. We have a chance to make it far, and the team is being fair about everything.” Williams was the Jags second round draft choice back in 2001, and was a starter for six seasons. He has started 85 games, including 15 starts in 2006.
